Release overview
Bandcamp archival release of Language Arts with light EQing and edits for a cleaner listen ('Sugarbeef edit'). Original artwork by Thesis Sahib from the original 1996 cassette. Buck considers Language Arts his best and most important album; it set the template he uses to this day. Two-part cassette format.
Buck 65 considers this his best and most important album — set the template he uses to this day. The mixtape-style structure (non-stop, ever-evolving, short parts, lots of turntable action) was inspired by Tape Kingz mixtapes and dubs of hip hop radio shows. Recorded in a squalid apartment above Pizza Corner in Halifax while barely scraping by. All beats made with samples no one had used before. Sugarbeef edit = light EQing and edits for a cleaner listen. OG artwork by Thesis Sahib.
